21 Ways to Bring Fun Into Your Marriage

We all get stuck in a rut or in our day-to-day routines every once in a while. It can be nice to remind each other that you still care and want to have fun in your relationship. Creating fun and prioritizing your relationship is essential to a happy and long-lasting marriage. We have been thinking of ways to bring fun into your marriage over the last couple of weeks and here is what Ryan and I came up with together!

21 Ways to Bring Fun Into Your Marriage

21 Ways to Bring Fun Into Your Marriage:

Go on a vacation or weekend getaway every few months.

Start a new Netflix show together (preferably one you agree on).

Host a game night with couple friends.

Avoid negativity and always be kind – Easier said than done, I know. Arguments are healthy, but “fight fair” and don’t hit below the belt. It is unnecessary and builds resentment and hostility.

Cook a meal together.

Escape Room – Ryan and I did this with some couple friends of ours a while back and I didn’t know what to expect, but it was actually really fun! It is also something outside of the norm to do which is nice.

Exercise together – go on a run or walk and get those happy endorphins going while you are talking to your best friend!

Create a playlist together with favorite songs from your high school/college days

Take a dance class together – this is something I’ve always wanted to do.

Go on a coffee date

Get a couple’s massage

Surprise each other regularly (with a gift or a surprise date night, etc.)

Celebrate little accomplishments (and big) with each other!

Have an old fashioned pillow fight

Have a Q&A night where you ask each other both fun and serious questions.

Go on a scavenger hunt

Attend a ball game together

Say “I love you” often

Flirt with one another

Speak your spouses love language (Here are 12 affirmations for husbands)

Go on a picnic
