Hello, friends! As you may know, this is my favorite month and favorite season of the year! I absolutely love it because it reminds me of so many fun childhood memories. One of my favorite days of the year is when we go to the pumpkin patch as a family. My kids are just as pumpkin obsessed as I am, which makes it really fun! I like to save money where I can so that we can fill our schedule with fall family activities, and that’s why we shop at Costco. We buy in bulk and get more bang for our buck with their great savings!
Back to School with Gap Kids
We received products from Gap Kids in exchange for an honest review. #GapToSchool
My kid’s first day of school went better than expected. Don’t you love it when that happens? They both walked right in their classrooms like they owned the place! It was a magical feeling. Even Weston cooperated – thanks in a big part to his new carrier that he sat in like a champ! You know what they say… you have to dress the part… something like that? Well, that is just what we are doing this year thanks to Gap kids and Just for Me Too!
Bittersweet Moments and All the Feels
The last couple of days have been a whirlwind of excitement and changes. Some of our best friends welcomed a sweet baby girl into the world, Hampton went to his new classroom to meet his teacher and Weston had his nine month appointment! We also got some exciting news for Ryan that was really wonderful! It is a reminder of how blessed we truly are. Honestly, it’s easy to say that when things are going well, but things haven’t been sparkly and shiny, lately.
Back to School Toddler Capsule Wardrobe
Last year, I really over bought for Sophie. I think it can be so easy to do with little girls, especially. I found so many mommy and me pieces that I just “had to have” and I ended up buying way too much. This year, i am determined to save more money and have created a capsule wardrobe for Sophie. She has a few things that she can still wear from last year that will be bonuses, but other than that, this (or similar to this) is what I am buying her. Well, throw in a couple of holiday outfits in there, too. 😉
Rainy Day Activity with Shape Mags
We received product in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
Friday Favorites with Cuddle and Kind
Happy Friday, loves! We have had a very busy week with work and the kids, so we are SO ready for the weekend. I will be playing catch up around the house and Ryan will be getting ready to go to the Masters. I know, I’m jealous. I’ve got some really excited things coming up on my blog and Instagram next week, so make sure to follow along here if you don’t want to miss it!
Easter Basket Ideas for Toddlers
I can’t believe Easter is already right around the corner and I am already brainstorming Easter basket ideas for my babies! This year seems to be going by in the blink of an eye. Maybe it’s just me? We have still been in our newborn, “I have three under three” phase over here, so excuse me if I sound a little crazy. #sleepdeprived It is so hard to decide what to put in them this year. Do I want to do a theme, or just fill it with random things that they need? So, come brainstorm with me…
Halloween 2016
Our Halloween was very relaxing this year. I have been having a lot of strong contractions the last few days, so we weren’t able to do as much as I had planned, but it was still a good day. We read a lot of pumpkin books, watched Halloween episodes of their favorite show, and rolled pumpkins around the room. #toddlers We ended the evening trick-or-treating. We took the kids around my parent’s neighborhood and out to see my grandparents who had a treat for them! They did surprisingly well trick-or-treating for the first time.
Birthday Trip to the Zoo
We had every intention on throwing Hampton a birthday party this year, but with our move and the baby coming literally any day, we weren’t able to make it happen. I promised him that we would make it really special by taking him to lunch anywhere he wanted and to the zoo! It ended up being the perfect day to go to the zoo because it was so cool outside! The zoo was all decorated for Halloween which was another added bonus! The kids loved all of the pumpkins! Hampton was totally set on riding the rhinoceros… bless him.
Hampton is THREE
Pinch me! My baby boy is three years old today. In some ways it feels like it has been every bit of three years and in some ways it feels like I had him yesterday. Looking back at photos of him seems like it all just happened, and yet, here we are. Motherhood is funny like that, I guess.
