Mom Friendly Swimsuits

Finding the right swimsuit after you have had kids can be tricky. That mom-pouch is a real thing and not something I am a fan of flaunting. I think that’s why I am always drawn to flowy tops and dresses. Finding good mom friendly swimsuits can be tricky, but I always look for good coverage (no one wants anything to pop out while chasing the kids around) and great tummy control! I have rounded up some great swimsuit options that are very mom friendly and still super cute! A lot of these are even on sale or available on Amazon prime! Now is a great time to grab a few swimsuits for spring break because it is right around the corner!

Some of these have been on sale the last few days, so definitely check out the discount codes on each retailer’s websites. Also, I typically size up one in swimwear (just as a helpful hint to you). I snagged this swimsuit for me and this matching one for Sophie a couple of weeks ago and it is GREAT quality and meets all of my mom-friendly requirements. It has full booty coverage, sucks you in, has padding and I love the one-shoulder style! I also love this one that is under $40! Clearly I have a thing for the one-shoulder style. Thirty Things I’ve Learned in Thirty Years

Well, I’ve officially joined the thirty club! I honestly was feeling a lot of dread a couple of years ago knowing that I was so close to 30 but feeling more like 18. Can anyone else relate? It’s like I woke up one day fully expecting to still be in college, but somehow ended up married with three kids. haha I honestly could not feel more blessed and as I woke up this morning, all I felt was gratitude. Grateful for my family’s health, my husband, my babies, good friends, and a wonderful extended family. Grateful for our jobs that are too fun to feel like work. Just grateful. I wanted to stop and thank you guys, too. Y’all have no idea how much you mean to me. I love this community. Interacting with y’all through DMs and emails is literally what I look forward to most every day (other than spending time with my kids, of course). I will answer some of your questions from IG at the bottom of this post, so be sure to read to the end!

4th of July + Friday Five

We had such a fun 4th of July this year. Our whole family got together and it was so fun to see and hang out with all of our cousins. We went to the parade, swam at my parent’s house, ate some delicious food and then watched fireworks! It was the perfect 4th of July with my favorite people! My kids went straight through nap time and dropped by the end of the night. To me, that’s a sign of a good day. I hope you guys had a great 4th! Here are some photos from our day:

We are about to get fall-fashion crazy over here starting next week, but before the craze that is the Nordstrom Sale begins, I want to share a few outfits that are perfect for summer. 4th of July Sales + Friday Five

Happy Friday, friends! We have finally made it to the weekend! Anyone else doing a little dance? We have a fun weekend planned with the kids and have been so looking forward to the weekend. My car is finally fixed, VBS was a major success (and so much fun) and we are feeling blessed. You know what? I was super negative about my car situation earlier this week, but I am so thankful that we had the funds set aside to pay for it. That was a big blessing this week and I am so thankful for that. And now, we can get on with our weekend plans and some awesome sales! I haven’t done an outfit round-up in a hot minute, so I thought, why not do one today? I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite outfits over the last week or so. I may make these “What I Wore” posts a little more regular so that I can help answer sizing questions and it can be a good reference for you guys to come back to!

I’m trying to get in a groove of posting daily, again but I decided this around the time the kids got out of school, so that backfired on me a little bit and I haven’t had as much time as I would like to devote to writing daily. However, bare with me because I will get it figured out soon. It is definitely helpful when you guys tell me things you would like to see on the blog, so keep your suggestions coming! 4th of July Outfits for Mama + Kids

I absolutely love the 4th of July! My entire family comes into town and I get to see all of my cousins, eat good food and watch the fireworks. We always have such a good time together and I am really looking forward to it this year. I also absolutely love wearing red, white and blue. It is such a classic combination that really works. This year in particular, I have seen the cutest clothes for the kids and the best tees for the mamas! In regards to my past 4th of July outfits, I’ve been known to go completely decked out in the American flag, or be a little more subtle with denim shorts and a white tee. I haven’t quite decided what I’m wearing this year, but I’m sort of going to go with what I’m feeling that morning. HA!

The Only Summer Dress You’ll Need

I am so happy it is Thursday! Ryan is home! It’s been a WEEK at our house, y’all. I could tell lots of poop stories from the week, but I’ll spare you. I’ll just leave it at… I got to take the most amazing bath last night after my knight in shining armor walked in and it was glorious. This week, Thursday is just as good as Friday. I am super excited to share this cute summer dress with y’all, and like the title says, it is literally the only one you will need this summer!
