If you haven’t already read this post, we found out that we are having a little BOY! We are so excited. After finding out the great news on Thursday, we traveled to Jacksonville Beach, Florida for the weekend. On Friday, we enjoyed a 3 mile hike through the trails at Hannah Park. It was so beautiful and peaceful. After our hike we went to the beach and enjoyed some fun in the sun! Who doesn’t love the beach? The best part was that it was not crowded at all where we were. It was nice to be able to really enjoy it on a holiday weekend.

Saturday, we went to the outlet mall in St. Augustine and bought Hampton way too many polos for next year. He’s not going to be spoiled at all. 😉 We had a wonderful time with family and friends. I hope your holiday weekend was just as blessed as mine. Thank you to all of those who have fought for our freedom and continue to do so.

Hi lovies! I have a special guest post for you! Meet Angel from Sew Crafty Angel! She is a busy momma of a sweet little boy and has a lot going on over at her blog! Be sure to go say hello!

I host

Hello everybody!  I’m Diane, a girl from sunny California, who loves all things vintage.  I started my blog Vintage Zest to catalog my sewing projects, recipes that I love, international travels, organizational projects around the house, and all the fun adventures I have along the way!  Even though I spend hours in craft stores and picking recipes from books with pretty pictures, I’ll share my craft & cooking fails because we all need a chuckle from time to time.  We can’t all be perfect!

Jackie @ City Girl Finding Her Place in the World

My blog consists of the chronicles of a NYC girl who’s about to graduate law school, whose other half is stationed in Hawaii, and who enjoys traveling, reading, and ballin’ on a budget.

Last Thursday I went to my 18 week appointment and we found out we are having a BOY!!!! We are absolutely thrilled. I’ve always wanted a big brother, so I am ecstatic we are having a boy first. We are naming him Hampton Keith (after his daddy and grandpa). I am so in love with this little boy already. Of course, we already went on a shopping spree and bought him polos and other “baby frat clothes.” Hampton is very healthy and that is the most important thing to us. Now the fun begins as we start decorating his nursery!

I’d also like to report that I have been feeling MUCH better the last couple of weeks. Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. We are so excited to welcome our little boy into the world this October!

Lindsay @ Pursuit of Pink

Blog | TwitterFacebook | Instagram

Pursuit of Pink is my little place of happiness on the internet. I blog about all things that make me happy: beauty, personal style, home décor, recipes, organization and more. And yes, my favorite color is pink, so there is plenty of that great color all over my blog. I am a person who tries hard to stay positive and I certainly hope my blog is uplifting to each of my readers.

Christine @ Musings of a Single Mama

I’m a single mom, writing about the story of my life raising my not-so-little “baby” girl. Musings of a Single Mama is a place where I can talk openly about the dramas with her father, my relationships with family and friends and my life experiences. I also write about my thoughts and opinions on various hot button topics, but don’t push my beliefs on my readers. My blog is a place where I can be free to be myself and not worry about what others think of me.

Mobbed by Carol Higgins Clark
Pocket Books, 2011

First Line: “Get that phone call over with.”

From the back cover: Exactly what is going on in Edna Frawley’s beach house? When a total stranger offers Edna a hefty sum to sell the place, the incorrigible octogenarian jumps at the chance. Edna’s daughter, who lives in San Diego- hearing her mother is holding a garage sale featuring personal items left behind when the actress Cleo Paradise rented the house- asks her old friend Nora Reilly to check up on Edna. A short train ride later, Nora and Regan are trying to work out a pile of unanswered questions. Why did Cleo depart suddenly, leaving a large number of belongings behind? How does Regan’s friend Hayley’s two-timing boyfriend, Scott, fit into the picture? Scott’s new fiance, Jillian, is conducting the sale for Edna, but she disappears after catching sight of Regan. As the questions stack up and still nobody has heard from Cleo, her panicked parents beg Regan to find her. But is there time, or will Cleo’s next hours be her last?

My Thoughts: This is not my typical read, however, my grandmother lent it to me. We trade books from time to time when we read a good book. I guess I get my love of reading from her. This was my first time reading a Carol Higgins Clark book, and it was a pretty decent read. It is a mystery novel that definitely kept me guessing. I never could figure out who the bad guy/girl was. The chapters were laid out similar to James Patterson’s novels.

The only negative I have about Mobbed is that is introduced so many characters but never went into much detail about them. It lightly touched on each of them but I still had questions unanswered. For this reason, I gave the book 3 1/2 stars.

I started this blog a few months ago to give me motivation to get some procrastinated projects done and have really enjoyed getting to know other people through blogs. I like to show crafts, recipes and write about different things that are on my mind. Plus, I’m starting to get my husband on board with these projects which makes it even more fun :).

I came to England from America to be an actress and found love instead. Here, you’ll read about baking, cooking, DIY, life abroad, and traveling. (With the *occasional* shout out to Diet Coke, fashion, Oreos, colourful things, trash tv, pandas, polka dots, literature and all my other favourites!) I only own two pairs of socks and I can never eat just one cookie.

The past two weekends have been so exciting and fun for our family. Last weekend we traveled to Auburn for my cousin’s graduation (War Eagle). Zana and I have always been so close. We are not only cousins but we are best friends as well. I am so proud of her and all of her accomplishments.

That Sunday we also celebrated Alex’s senior night at church. She looked absolutely beautiful and had the best table set up. She is officially graduating this Friday, and I know she has been counting down. I can’t believe my baby sister is graduating. Time flies.

This past weekend we celebrated my oldest nephew’s 1st birthday! I can’t believe he is already one. He was JUST born! Tanner had a Dr. Seuss birthday party and if you know me, you know that I LOVE Dr. Seuss! It was so much fun and everything looked adorable. His mamma did a great job!

After the party, we enjoyed a night of baseball with some friends. It was such a nice night for baseball.
On Sunday we celebrated Mother’s Day with our moms! I have the best mother in the world, and I have been blessed with a wonderful mother-in-law. We enjoyed some great food and family time. My sister-in-law even gave me my first Mother’s Day present! It was so sweet and thoughtful. I hope you were all blessed to spend Mother’s Day with your moms.

Hi ladies! First off, I want to say thank you to all of my readers. When I started this online journal of mine, I never thought it would grow to 100 let alone almost 1,000! I woke up this morning and saw that I have 999 GFC followers. WOW! That’s not including my Bloglovin’ followers and friends who follow via social media. I am so humbled that so many people would read my random thoughts.

I wanted to write this post because I have taken a break from having sponsors. I got really tired of doing giveaways every month and trying to keep up with everyone and give them the time they deserved made me feel overwhelmed. After this break I have reevaluated and decided to make ads available to you again. I have simplified the ads and lowered the prices accordingly.

I will offer 2 ad spots:

Venti – will run for 60 days and offers social media shout outs as well as the option to guest post.

Espresso – will run for 30 days and offers social media shout outs and the option to guest post.

If you are interested in sponsoring my blog, I’d love to have you! I’m giving you 20% off for the next 2 weeks using code MAY. You can purchase the ads on my sponsor page.

Thank you for understanding and giving me my much needed break over the last month.

Also, we have spots available if you are interested in co-hosting Monday Mingling! Please fill out this form and I will email you with a date ASAP.
