eKoffee Makes My Taste Buds Happy

July 10, 2013

For those of you who read my blog (or have ever just looked at the title), you know that I am in love with coffee. One of the hardest things I have had to do since I got pregnant was give up coffee…or at least drink much, much less.

About a week ago, the owner of eKoffee emailed me and asked if I would like to try some of their freshly roasted coffee. I, of course, said absolutely.

The first bag I tried was the Patti’s Place – Brazilian Mornin’ blend. Let me tell you, this coffee is outstanding. It is the perfect blend for my husband and me. He likes hazelnut, I like vanilla. This roast has a hint of both, plus a sweet hint of maple. Again, I can’t say enough about how good this coffee is. If you are looking to try something new to kick start your morning, This is the perfect roast. Check it out here.

I also tried the Booskerdoo – Bottle Rocket blend. This is more of my husband’s style of coffee. He likes a bit of a stronger coffee and this certainly was stronger than the Brazilian Morning. If you like a darker, more acidic coffee, this is more your style. Check it out here.

eKoffee is hosting a twitter chat tonight at 9pm EST where they will be discussing their incredible fresh roasted coffee from around the world. They will also be hosting live giveaways and exclusive discounts for the participants! Use hashtag #eKoffeeChat. You don’t want to miss this event! I hope you’ll join in the fun, and be sure to follow them on twitter @eKoffee.

Palmolive Fresh Infusions

January 22, 2013

My first impression of the Palmolive Fresh Infusions Voxbox was “WOW they sent me three bottles?” I was really excited to try them all. Of course, one of the tasks was to give one to a friend, but since my sister was over at our house at the time, I gave it to her to try out. She and my mom used it and loved it. We are typically a Dawn soap family, but my mom was very impressed with the lemon thyme scent and how this soap lathered.

I love this soap. The scents are amazing and different than your typical dish soap. The thing I love most is how well it lathered. I barely had to use any soap for my sink load of dishes which means this bottle will last a long time and save money. I also loved the packaging. It is pretty enough to leave out on your sink and not feel embarrassed when people come over. This soap left my dishes sparkling clean.

My favorite scent is the Ginger White Tea. I’m not a fan of lime-scented things, and I gave the lemon-thyme to my family to try out. I did get a sniff of it before I gave it away and it had a very clean smell to it.

Thank you, Influenster!

Datevitation Coupon Book + {Giveaway}

January 4, 2013

I received my Datevitation custom love coupon book just in time for Christmas and I put it in Ryan’s stocking. He loved it. I customized it by choosing dates that I know he enjoys like hiking, going to the theater, a dinner date to our favorite Mexican restaurant, etc. Needless to say, it was his favorite stocking stuffer. I especially loved how you could customize the cover and text, as well as pick out the specific dates. That made it really fun and special.
A little about Datevitation:

  • Datevitation.com is the web’s first online platform to create a custom love coupon book. Unlike the pre-packaged love coupon books on the market, you pick the dates and can customize the text to your liking.  Once you are done customizing the text in your book, Datevitation will print it out and ship it to you in a ready-to-gift box.
  • Their library contains over 200 date ideas ranging from skydiving to stargazing. They also have over 60 book cover options to suit any occasion.
  • Books normally start at just $20 so it makes for a thoughtful yet economical gift. But as a special treat for my followers, you can use the code ‘sunflowers’ for $10 off your purchase in January. That means you can get your sweetie a custom love coupon book for Valentine’s day starting at just $10!

Now on to the giveaway…

Datevitation is giving away a free coupon book (with up to 5 custom date pages) to one of my readers! Enter using the rafflecopter below:

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Winner will receive a promo code for a free Datevitation gift book with 5 custom pages.  Additional pages are $1 each.  Winner to pay $3.50 for shipping and handling.  Tax will be applied to books shipped to California.  Books ship to U.S. only.

Wearing My New Glasses Like Zooey Dechanel (Firmoo Review)

December 29, 2012

I have worn glasses since kindergarten. Yep, I was THAT kid…frizzy hair, glasses, blah, blah, blah. I have worn contacts since I was 12 years old and prefer to wear them over glasses most of the time, but sometimes my eyes need a break. They get tired, too. When Firmoo contacted me to review a pair of their glasses, I literally had zero expectations. Like most people, I have ordered glasses online before and they were cheap and fell apart within a couple of months. It was a disappointing experience. HOWEVER, when I received my glasses from Firmoo, I was extremely impressed with the quality.

I’ve been wanting some “Zooey Dechanel” glasses for a while now because (aside from Lorelei Gilmore) she is my idol. I love her. So of course I chose these…

I know, I know, I look exactly like her.
A little about Firmoo…
Firmoo is an online glasses company selling the latest fashion in glasses and sunglasses, prescription and non-prescription. They are extremely affordable and great quality. Even better? They are now offering YOU a first pair free of charge. You only have to pay shipping. You can’t beat free. You just can’t.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Firmoo.
*Disclaimer: I received these glasses as compensation for an honest review.

eShakti Review

December 15, 2012

I am by no means a fashionista, so you can imagine my surprise shock when eShakti contacted me to review their clothes. I’m typically a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, but I am a girl – which means I do enjoy dressing up every once in a while. They gave me the choice to pick one item for review so I chose this dress. I thought it was perfect because I could dress it up or down, depending on what I accessorize it with. The collar thing is really popular right now, which I attribute to what I call the “Zooey Deschanel” style. I’m a little obsessed with her so I am excited to own a dress that I’m pretty sure she would rock. I love eShakti because it is different than any other online women’s shop.

What do you think? Should I take up modeling? (sarcasm)

eShakti offers customization on every product – sizes 0-36. All you have to do is plug in your measurements and pay a small fee. I know that if you are tall and slim it can be difficult finding something that fits really well. Or if you’re like me, you may be tall, slender and have a big butt. It’s really unfortunate because I have a hard time finding clothes that fit correctly. It can be frustrating. eShakti is pretty true to size, however, I am a pretty solid size 4 and could have easily fit in the 2 because this 4 was a little big in the waist. They also have an option where you can change the sleeve length, skirt length and neck line on any dress, shirt, sweater, etc. How awesome is that?

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the dress as well. When ordering online you never know what you’re going to get. The dress was made of high quality material. They offer quality clothes for an affordable price. What more could you want? I definitely recommend that you all go check them out!
