A couple of weeks ago, I asked if you guys wanted to see more posts about blogging and y’all overwhelmingly said YES! So, here we go with post #1. This may be a weird place to start, but lately I have been a very “in the moment” blogger, and this is something I have wanted to talk about for a while, so why not start here? For the last couple of years, my “work week” has started on Sunday evenings. I can tell a huge difference in when I get those 2 hours of work done on this night and when I don’t, and they really do make or break my entire week as far as blogging is concerned.

Every Sunday night, I sit down and write out a to-do list for Monday. I schedule all social media posts (Twitter and Instagram). I am still working to do better scheduling Facebook posts, but Facebook is just not my favorite platform. I also like to do a little pinning on Pinterest because it is a time where a lot of people are on Pinterest. More on Pinterest later. The final thing I do is write pitches to two to three brands I want to work with and email them so they have them in their inbox on Monday morning. This is something new I have started this year to see if it keeps me on track as far as pitching to brands. I’ll let you know how it goes!
These few tasks may not seem like a lot, but it really keeps me on track and sets the tone for the entire week. If I don’t schedule things, it tends to not get done. Enter… #momlife. If I do not write it down, and plan it or schedule it, it just doesn’t happen. Things come up and I get very distracted with my babies throughout the day, so things fall by the wayside. However, If I take those two(ish) hours to get these simple tasks done, it is so much easier to stay on a schedule throughout the week.
Now I want to hear from you! What is that one crucial thing you do to set you up for a successful work week?
