Tis’ the Season for Pumpkin Patches

One of my favorite traditions that I look forward to every year is going to pumpkin patches. Hampton loves it because there are big slides and inflatables as well as pig race,s a corn maze and all sorts of fun activities for the kids. This year was particularly fun because Sophie was equally as excited to slide and jump and pick out a pumpkin! She was a huge fan of the corn boxes, and Hampton, not so much. He just wanted to slide the entire time we were there. Definitely all boy. The weather here is still pretty warm, so it didn’t feel as fall-isa as I would have liked, but we may go to another pumpkin patch later when it cools off a bit more. Why not? I mean, tis’ the season…

This year, we went with some of our good friends from church which was really fun! They have a son that is close to Hampton’s age and they always have a good time together. We also celebrated Ryan’s birthday this weekend! We kept things pretty simple, but enjoyed celebrating our favorite guy! Hampton and I woke up early Saturday morning and made cinnamon rolls (one of Ryan’s favorites) and homemade cards. Later that day, we drove out to my grandparent’s house to visit with my cousins! They brought their 5 month twins for a visit and we were thrilled to see them! Spending time with their happy babies made me really excited to be having another one soon.

This weekend, we made a lot of fun memories, but at the same time, things have gotten pretty real for us. We bought our new car, our new house is almost finished and we will be doing our final walk through soon and I have been having a lot of strong and painful contractions for the last week now. I found out at the doctor that I am 2cm. dilated and baby boy is a big one! I am excited to have a little chunk, but very nervous about birthing a bigger baby this time around. I wouldn’t hate it if he came a little bit early, but we will see.

How was your weekend!? Have you visited any pumpkin patches?
