Holiday Traditions with Minted

December 19, 2017

The post Holiday Traditions with Minted is sponsored by Minted. All opinions are my own.

Holiday Traditions…everyone has them, and I love them! We have several in our family. Most of them were established by me and Ryan during our first Christmas as a married couple. Having traditions gives you something to look forward to every year. Maybe it’s opening a gift on Christmas eve or making a specific recipe every Christmas day. Whatever it is, it makes the holidays special and gives everyone something to look forward to all year!

Holiday Pajamas for the Family

November 17, 2017

One family tradition we love to participate in is buying new holiday pajamas every year for the family! Ryan and I normally give each other a pair of PJs on Christmas Eve, and we always buy our kids Christmas pajamas. It is so fun and we love being festive. The kids get really into it, too! Almost as much as they love their holiday socks. I have rounded up some favorites for the entire family below and even included some fun holiday socks and slippers! I am also loving the family pajama set that Target has this year! They are SO cute! Check them out here!

Christmas Traditions + Our Christmas Card

December 11, 2015

In my opinion, Christmas traditions are what make the holiday so special. There is something in the ritual and the things we can always count on that make us look forward to these events. We have lots of traditions in my family. We decorate the tree as a family. We read Twas’ the Night Before Christmas and go look at Christmas lights every Christmas eve with my sister. We bake and decorate Christmas cookies ever year with my in-laws. The list goes on and on. These things are always so special and so much fun. They are the things I look most forward to every holiday season.

Another special tradition we do as a family is send out Christmas cards to our family and friends to let them know we are thinking about them during this special time of year. It always makes my day to receive Christmas cards in the mail, so my hope is that our cards will brighten someone else’s day as well. It is so nice to know that you are thought of.

This year, we had family pictures taken at a Christmas tree farm which was a first for us. I couldn’t have been more happy with the way they turned out. I knew immediately after seeing them that I needed to pick out a beautiful card to place our photo on this year. It was a no-brainer for me because I had just been perusing Minted’s holiday cards and fell in love with so many of them. There are so many choices and they are all beautiful. The one we chose definitely suited us and our photo, I think, but I also loved this one and this one. They were close second and third options. Now through December 14th, Minted’s holiday cards are 15% off $150+ and 10% off $100+!

I received our cards in the mail earlier this week and was so excited and pleased with the quality of the cards and the envelops. Envelop thickness is a big deal to me. Who wants a beautiful card with a flimsy envelop? Not me. I definitely notice those little details and I was very proud to send these cards out to our friends and family! They also arrived very quickly, so if you are late ordering your holiday cards this year, definitely check out Minted!

Have you ordered your Christmas cards yet?

St. Patrick’s Day

March 3, 2015

st-patricks-day-quotes

When is St. Patrick’s Day? March 17th. What is St. Patrick’s Day? It is a day that celebrates the arrival of the Christian church in Ireland as well as Ireland as a country. I am a Christian and part Irish and therefore, I love this holiday. Really, I love all holidays, but this one includes my favorite color – green and celebrates part of my heritage which makes it even more fun. I can’t wait to celebrate this year with Hampton and teach him a few traditions I grew up with.

Here are a few ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with your kiddos:

– Wear green so you don’t get pinched

-Leave your shoes outside your bedroom door the night before so the leprechauns can fill them with candy.

-Drink a green Shamrock Shake from McDonalds

-Look for a lucky 4 leaf clover.

-Go to a parade.

-Bake some (green) M&M cookies and add green food coloring to make them extra lucky.

Are you Irish? Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?
