How far along? 32 weeks

Baby Size: 4lbs. 19 inches (What to Expect app)

Weight Gain: 30 lbs. (yikes)

Button: Still in but only slightly.

Feeling: Excited and nervous. I’m so ready to meet baby H but getting anxious about the delivery.

Maternity Clothes: YES! Moms-to-be, give in to the maternity jeans. They have been a life saver. I also bought some black and white pants for work and they are great!

Sleep: I’m sleeping okay. I still wake up multiple times a night, but I’m getting used to it and maybe it will help me be prepared for those first few months.

Miss Anything? Being able to tie my own shoes without using extreme acrobatics.

Movement: All the time! He is getting stronger every day.

Looking forward to: My baby shower next week!

Bump: If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen pictures of my growing belly. It’s definitely out there now!

Exercise: Still walking and swimming. I’ve also tried this prenatal Pilates series thanks to another blogger’s suggestion. That has been a nice change.

Anything making you sick: Unfortunately, my morning sickness has come back. I’m hoping it will go away soon but I’m not holding my breath. It has mostly been in the mornings, but has hit me at night a couple of times.

Nursery: Still waiting on our furniture to come in. I’m starting to get a little antsy, but they assured me it would be here within the week. We will see…

Exercising while pregnant is not easy – especially when you get to the third trimester. During my first and the beginning of my second trimesters, I had no problem walking 2 miles every day, swimming, doing barre exercises, etc. That has all changed. I’m 30 weeks pregnant and I’m doing good if I make it a mile at a strolling pace. I just have to keep telling myself that anything is better than nothing.

I have found that it is so much easier to swim. It takes the pressure off of you and makes you feel light which is a wonderful feeling at this point in the pregnancy. It is so much easier on my back and I still get in a great workout.

I’ve looked into prenatal yoga and it is great for meditation and relaxation, however, I’m more of a cardio girl. I enjoy upbeat workouts that make me want to push myself, and yoga just doesn’t do it for me. I enjoy yoga a lot more when I’m not pregnant and can actually bend.

Bottom line: Anything is better than nothing. There will be plenty of time to push myself and work off these pounds after baby H gets here.

What worked for you during your pregnancy?

How far along? 28 1/2 weeks (3rd Trimester!!!)

Baby Size: 17 in. 2.9 lbs. (What to Expect app)

Feeling: Excited and a little sad. I realized this past week that I’m actually going to miss being pregnant. It has been such a wonderful experience for me. Of course it hasn’t been perfect and I’ve experienced the not so fun things. I’ve had sickness, round ligament pain and Hampton decided to chill out on my sciatic nerve for three weeks. But it has all been so exciting and emotional. From that first kick to being able to see his precious face for the first time, it is all so worth it.

Sleep: I’m not sleeping too well because I have a hard time getting comfortable.

Miss Anything? Sleeping on my stomach and having my back popped. That sounds like heaven right now.

Movement: All the time!

Looking forward to: My doctor appointment tomorrow! I’m going every 2 weeks now.

Bump: If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen pictures of my growing belly. It’s definitely out there now!

Exercise: Still walking and swimming. I love to swim because it is so much cooler.

Doctor Visit: We had our 4D ultrasound done last week! Ryan and my little sister were there to share in the joy of seeing our sweet boys face for the first time. It was the greatest thing I’ve experienced. I haven’t been able to quit staring at the pictures since. To you, they may look like a mud creature, but here are a couple for your enjoyment. 🙂

How far along? 26 1/2 weeks

Baby Size: A cucumber! About 15 inches and 2.2 lbs. (What to Expect app)

Feeling: Other than the cold I have been plagued with this week, I am feeling wonderful!

Sleep: Sleep? What sleep?

Miss Anything? I’m starting to miss my old clothes.

Movement: All the time! My doctor said he is VERY active.

Looking forward to: Our 4D ultrasound next week! I can’t wait to see my sweet boy!

Bump: If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen pictures of my growing belly. It’s definitely out there now!

Exercise: Still walking and swimming. I love to swim because it is so much cooler.

Nursery: The nursery is painted and the carpet is in! We ordered our furniture 2 weeks ago, but they said it would take 8 weeks to come in so we are just waiting on that. I promise I’ll post pics soon!

Doctor Visit: I went to the doctor last Thursday and had my glucose test done. Everything went great! His heartbeat was 140! I love hearing that sweet thump.

I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by! I’m only a week away from the third trimester! It’s nuts. I am getting so excited to see his sweet little face, but I’m also super nervous about the birth. Luckily my excitement outweighs my nervousness.

How far along? 22 1/2 weeks

Baby Size: A papaya! About 8 inches and 1.2 lbs.

Total weight gain: 16 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Absolutely! Although I am still rocking my nike shorts and yoga pants a lot.

Food cravings: Still craving that sugar. Mostly cookies and milk at night.

Feeling: I’m still feeling great! I am loving all this energy I’ve had lately.

Sleep: It’s been a little better. I’m still getting up about 3 times a night to use the bathroom.

Miss Anything? Other than being able to bend and sleep normally, I’m not missing anything.

Movement: All the time! It’s the neatest thing. His kicks are starting to get a little stronger.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope! Not anymore!

Looking forward to: putting new carpet in next week, and all of my family coming to visit for the 4th.

Bump: Hasn’t grown any in the last couple of weeks, but I’m thankful for the slow down.  If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen pictures of my growing belly. Luckily I’m all belly (so far) and haven’t gained any inches any where else! 🙂 Let’s hope it stays that way for a while.

Exercise: Walking 1.5 miles every night and swimming a couple of times a week. It’s getting harder to walk outside because of the heat, but I’m still managing.

Nursery: The nursery is officially painted!!! We are putting new carpet in next week, and then we will go buy the furniture that we picked out a couple of weeks ago! I’m super excited for it to start looking like a real nursery instead of an empty room.

Doctor Visit: Our visit went great! They checked Hampton’s organs on the ultrasound and she said everything was perfect. We have a very healthy boy! My next visit will be my last 4 week appointment and I will have my glucose test done that day. I’m kind of dreading that.

How far along? 20 1/2 weeks

Baby Size: A banana!

Total weight gain: 12 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Yes… They make life so much easier. Motherhood Maternity actually has some cute maternity clothes.

Food cravings: Sugar in general. Cookies, cake, pop tarts, cereal. All the things I shouldn’t be eating.

Feeling: I’m finally feeling much better! I’ve had more energy, and I haven’t been as sick.

Sleep: I haven’t had more than 3 hours of sleep a night in the last couple of weeks. People tell me it’s mother nature preparing me for sleepless nights. I think it’s just that I’m getting bigger and it’s hard to get comfortable. He also moves a lot at night which doesn’t help with the whole sleep thing.

Miss Anything? My old body? haha I love my baby belly, but I have a feeling that when the end is near, I will be so ready for him to get out so I can get back to my normal self. It’s getting harder to bend.

Movement: A lot! I am loving every minute of it! It feels like he is doing flips some days, and others it is just a lot of tapping. Kicks aren’t super strong yet, but I love feeling him move. It’s the coolest thing.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope! Not anymore!

Looking forward to: Starting on the nursery! We finally picked out our colors and bought paint this past weekend! I’m so ready to buy the baby furniture and get the ball rolling.

Bump: Oh my! I started showing very early (around 10 weeks) and have been growing non-stop ever since. It’s pretty weird because my friends who are due around the same time as me are still barely showing. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen pictures of my growing belly. Luckily I’m all belly (so far) and haven’t gained any inches any where else! 🙂 Let’s hope it stays that way for a while.

Exercise: I’ve still been walking a lot and I’ve been swimming a couple of times. I’d love suggestions on pregnancy workouts!

Last Thursday I went to my 18 week appointment and we found out we are having a BOY!!!! We are absolutely thrilled. I’ve always wanted a big brother, so I am ecstatic we are having a boy first. We are naming him Hampton Keith (after his daddy and grandpa). I am so in love with this little boy already. Of course, we already went on a shopping spree and bought him polos and other “baby frat clothes.” Hampton is very healthy and that is the most important thing to us. Now the fun begins as we start decorating his nursery!

I’d also like to report that I have been feeling MUCH better the last couple of weeks. Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. We are so excited to welcome our little boy into the world this October!

How far along? 13 1/2 weeks
Baby Size: almost 3 inches long about the size of a kiwi.
Total weight gain: 3lbs. (yikes!)
Maternity clothes? Not yet! My jeans are starting to get uncomfortable so I’ve been wearing a lot of nike shorts and dresses.
Food cravings: Grapes and Tomatoes. I loved them before I was pregnant but nothing like this. I’ve gone through 2 bags of grapes and 5 tomatoes so far this week.
Feeling: I’ve still been pretty nauseous and extremely tired. Yesterday was my worst sick day so far. I couldn’t even keep down saltines. I felt like I had a stomach virus it was so bad. I’m definitely ready for the sickness to pass, or at least not hit me every day.
Best moment this week: Meeting my best friends baby. He is so precious and it made me really excited for our little one.
Sleep: I’ve been waking up at least 2 times per night to use the bathroom. Other than that I’ve been sleeping okay.
Miss Anything? COFFEE!! I know a lot of women still drink coffee during pregnancy, but I gave it up just to be safe and it is killing me! I’ve gone 9 weeks without it. Also, queso dip. I love Mexican food and not eating cheese dip has been so difficult.
Movement: No movement yet. I think I’m still several weeks from that, but I can’t wait to feel a kick for the first time!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Meat and eggs.
Looking forward to: Starting my second trimester in a couple of days! Hopefully I will start to feel better then.
Best Pregnancy Moment: When Ryan bought me From Pea to Pumpkin: A Pregnancy Journal. I have loved keeping up with everything in this journal from week to week. It also shows your baby’s size and weight each week. It was the perfect gift and I highly recommend it.
