The second morning in a row that I have been able to enjoy some fall weather! I am loving this! My little Sophie girl started throwing up yesterday afternoon, so today we are on the mend and praying so hard that none of us catch whatever it is that she and my parents have. I’m diffusing all the oils and drinking all the coffee so I can keep up with all the laundry. I had to wash her sheets multiple times yesterday and am seriously considering buying another cheap one today so that we have more sets when these things happen. For now, here are some of my fall-inspired Friday favorites!
The Baby Shower Gift Every New Mother Will Want: Pacidoodle® + Starbucks Giveaway
As a mother, germs are are like cumulonimbus clouds hanging over my children’s heads at all times. Especially during cold and flu season. I try to keep our house as clean as possible, but when we go grocery shopping, to the zoo or a friend’s house, there is only so much I can do about the pesky germs.
Both of my babies take/took pacifiers. We are currently in the process of breaking Hampton from his, but Sophie-Rae is following in her brother’s footsteps as far as paci dependence goes. It serves as her security blanket. I am extremely thankful for pacifiers, but there is nothing worse than when that paci hits the floor of a supermarket, or even worse – a gas station floor. Paci clips are a must for my kids. I definitely learned the hard way.
A couple of weeks ago at church, I sat down next to Lorri. I had just recently learned from a friend that she is the genius behind Pacidoodle®! If you haven’t heard of Pacidoodles® yet, you need to stop what you are doing and click on over. These personalized pacifiers are the cutest! You can choose from a variety of colors and styles. Hampton had some of them and now Sophie-Rae does, too! They are great quality because the name doesn’t rub off. Look at how Hampton’s has held up over nearly two years of dishwashing cycles and everyday wear and tear!
Lorri created the Paci Clip and Keep and was telling me that she had just finished the process of getting it U.S. patent protected! After she described it to me, I knew I had to try it for Sophie! The Paci Clip and Keep is not only a paci clip, it holds the pacifier or Pacidoodle® in the Keep which is made of antimicrobial technology that doesn’t allow bacteria to grow. It is the only paci clip out there with this kind of technology. Sophie is constantly spitting her paci out everywhere. After using the Paci Clip and Keep for the last week now, I can honestly say it is wonderful and I don’t know what I ever did without it! Not only is it adorable, it keeps her Pacidoodle® and other pacifiers perfectly clean. I admire that the product name comes from Psalm 139. It has a beautiful meaning and I love supporting Christian based businesses.
I got Hampton’s Pacidoodles® at my baby shower and it was one of my favorite gifts. I had not seen a personalized paci like this before and they have held up so well. The Paci Clip and Keep has given me such a peace of mind and it is incredibly easy to clip it to Sophie-Rae whenever we leave the house. She loves it, too! She grabs it and cuddles with her little Keep all the time. It is precious. My favorite part about this is that it not only fit Pacidoodles®, but also our other pacifiers. It is so convenient and I don’t ever have to worry about her Pacidoodles® falling on the floor. These would make an awesome baby gift as well. I remember how excited I was when I received Hampton’s!
I’m so excited to be giving away a Pacidoodle® of choice, Paci Clip and Keep and a $25 Starbucks Gift Card today! What new mother wouldn’t want this incredible baby gift and the gift of free Starbucks coffee? Enter in the Rafflecopter below:

We are officially 14 days away from our cruise! We are actually leaving a couple of days earlier to visit my grandmother in Florida where I will be spending my birthday! I can’t tell you how excited I am to have this week long vacation. It is so needed.
I have been sort of dreading making the 7 hour drive to my grandmother’s house with our two babies. Mostly Hampton, because we can’t keep him still. I’m so scared he will be miserable that long in the car. After thinking about it, I decided to put together a travel activity bucket to keep him busy while we are on the road.
My friend and I ran to Walmart after our lunch date last week and grabbed some fun things I thought would keep Hamp busy in the car. In addition to a coloring book, stickers, and games, I also thought it would be fun to add one of our favorite family snacks – Twizzlers Twists. I also threw in some rainbow twists for fun!
Here is what to put in an activity bucket for your summer road trips:
Coloring Book – This will keep them busy for a while. All kids love to color!
Games – We love to play all sorts of games in the car. Including some little hand held games for your toddler will help keep him occupied.
Snacks – I threw in one of my favorite snacks that we can all enjoy as a family! Twizzlers Twists have been my road trip choice for years and I can’t wait to share that tradition with my son. Snacks are always a great thing to have on hand with children. They get hungry and it’s not fun when you aren’t prepared for that.
Books – My son loves to read, and for that I am thankful. Reading books can keep him occupied for a few minutes at a time and they can also be educational, so it’s a win/win!
Your bucket doesn’t have to be complicated. Just think of things that will keep your child occupied and try to get several different things so that when they get bored with one, they can easily move on to another. Having an activity bucket will also help limit their screen time, which is something badly needed this day in time! Don’t forget to sing songs and make pit stops so the kids can stretch their legs for a bit. That will also help break up the trip.
Twizzlers Twists remind me of my childhood summers. We used to eat them all the time. I remember always stopping on our road trips to grab some snacks and they would always be my go-to.
What would you include in your activity bucket? Twizzlers Twists remind me of my childhood, do they bring back memories for you, too?
The Perfect Gift with Disney Baby

I’ve got some exciting news to share! I have a new niece coming in August! I’m so excited because SR will have another little play buddy! All of my friends and family had boys when H was born and now SR will have 2 girl cousins to hang out with! It will be so much fun!
This is a very exciting time for my family and of course, I had to get her something special and fun! I went to Walmart and bought this adorable Ariel bath tub because I HAD to buy all things girly. She has already received plenty of hand-me-down clothes from SR and others, so I wanted to get her a few essentials. What better theme to go with than Disney Baby princesses?
I have always loved Disney everything. Growing up I watched The Little Mermaid, Cinderella and read Nancy Drew books. That’s about it. So, when I saw that Walmart had Disney Baby products, that was it!
I fixed up a cute little gift using the tub as the basket. I filled it with baby essentials that I know she will use and love.
I had a fit over these cute sippy cups and bibs! I even found an adorable little Minnie Mouse grooming set! She will love it! My favorite item was definitely the tub! Bath time is always a fun and special time in our house. Both of my babies loved their baths. I hope my little niece will enjoy her new tub and bath time as much as her cousins.
And now, we just wait for her arrival!
What is your idea of the perfect baby gift? Were you a fan of Disney as a child? Or as an adult?

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

I don’t know about you, but I always struggle around this time of year with what to give to my mom and MIL for Mother’s Day. Here is the issue: Their birthdays are about a month and a half after Mother’s Day so I am always thinking if I get them this, what could I give them for their Birthday? Or vice versa. Since I will be celebrating my first mother’s day this year, I have thought up a list of things I wouldn’t mind getting myself. Here are some of my go-tos for MD gifts:
Picture/picture frame. As a mother, I treasure photos of my baby. I know our moms do as well. We just had Hamp’s 6 month pictures done, so you can bet they will be getting one. I know they always enjoy getting updated pictures of our family and the grandbabies.
Flowers. You can’t go wrong with flowers. It is Spring after all and who doesn’t love fresh blooms filling their home?
Spa Day. Treat your mom to a mani/pedi,or a massage. All women love being pampered. Rarely do they splurge on those things for themselves, so it’s nice to receive them as gifts.
Jewelry. You can’t go wrong with jewelry. If you don’t know your mom’s ring size, a necklace is a safe choice.
Gift Cards are a great choice if you are buying for a woman who has everything. They are easy and convenient to pick up. If you are a last minute shopper, this is probably best for you.
Gift Basket. I love putting together gift baskets. For example, I gave my SIL a movie themed gift one year for her birthday with gift certificates to the movie theater, a bag of popcorn, and candy in a plastic pop corn bucket. You can put your own twist on it and cater it to your mom and what she enjoys.
What are you getting your mom for Mother’s Day? What are your go-to gifts?

Cara Box: Club Sexy
Hi there! I hope you have all had a wonderful start to your week. We are halfway to the weekend! Woo hoo! I have so many new readers, welcome to you!
My sweet friend Ashley told me about Cara Box this past month. I had heard of it but wasn’t really sure what it was or how to get involved. I was excited to participate this month because of the “Club Sexy” theme as well as the fact that we were being paired based on our state. This past month I have been introduced to so many wonderful Bama ladies. They actually just met up for a blate that I was absolutely sick to miss out on, but that’s life.
I gave my Cara Box to Ashley, and Lauren gave me hers. I was so excited to be paired with these two. Lauren did an amazing job picking out my goodies. If you’ve been around for a while, you know I have been trying to live a healthier lifestyle. She purchased things that would not mess up my workouts or throw off my diet, which was perfect. When asked what my favorite date night is, I told Lauren that my husband and I are extremely laid back. Most of the time after a long day of work, all we want to do is chill at home and watch movies. We also enjoy cooking together and hiking whenever we get the chance to.
Lauren gave me a “Clean Eating” magazine with amazing recipes in it that “won’t undo our hike.” She bought me a coffee cozie, which I’m obsessed with, as well as a stick of chapstick, so we can smooch on our movie nights (HA). She also included some trail mix for our hiking trips and chocolate covered pretzels for our movie nights at home. How thoughtful is she?
Lauren, thank you so much for my goodies! I love them all. Ashley, I hope you enjoy your goodies that I picked out for you!
