My Amazon posts and stories have quickly become a favorite around here, so I figure, why not give you more of what you want? I am going to continue doing a little round up each month of Amazon fashion finds and will also be sharing some of them in stories later today! While I cannot always try everything that I share, I do try as many as I can in order to give you my honest opinion on quality, so stay tuned to my Instagram later today for that! In the meantime, thank you for always being so supportive of my blog which helps support my family! We appreciate each and every one of you and the fact that you shop our links!

We went on our last family vacation of Summer last week. So bittersweet. We went to my grandparent’s house in Jacksonville again because we did not get to do everything we wanted to last time we were there. Unfortunately, it rained nearly every day we were there again this trip, but we still had a lot of fun. We went to a family member’s neighborhood pool where they have the best kid pool. My kid’s had a ball there. We also went back to the awesome park with a splash pad that day and they had so much fun. Man, it’s good to be a kid, isn’t it? I totally took it for granted.

My little guy is FIVE months old. Someone pinch me. The first baby went by fast, the second was faster, the third? It’s been a total blur. I know I always say it, but I feel like we just arrived home from the hospital. I feel like we just moved into our new house. And just like that, he is five months old. Weston is the sweetest baby. He is always smiling (unless he’s hungry) and he is much more laid back than my other two babies. I hope and pray he stays that way because I need a laid back babe amongst the high-strung ones. They get it honestly, bless their hearts.

I can’t believe we are nearly a week into 2016 and I am just now writing my first post of the new year. Can you guess why? The new year is bringing many new changes to me and my blog and I m so excited about them. I finally made the switch from Blogger to self-hosted WordPress which I LOVE. This change has been a well thought out decision I’ve been going back and forth on for over a year now, so it was a long time coming. I figured since I am getting more serious about my blog and have turned it into my full-time job, I need to make it look more professional. So, what do you guys think?

2015 was a huge year for our little family. So many wonderful things happened and we were more blessed than I could have ever imagined. Here is a look back on last year:

I love this time of year. The holidays are so much fun! Normally, my husband takes time off of work (which never happens) and we are able to enjoy lots family time. After the holidays, I love that we celebrate a new year and make resolutions to better ourselves and achieve new goals. A fresh start in a new year sounds pretty good to me! Here are a few ways to prepare for a successful new year:

successful-new-year

Make a list of all your goals. You had to know that making a list would be on my list, right?  I love my lists. I seriously make them for everything! They are very helpful in making you prioritize what’s important and stay focused on what needs to get done. I am always so much more productive when I have made a list of what needs to be done versus when I don’t.

Make your health a priority. Your health is everything. Whether you are a new mom running on little sleep or a 20 year old college student, your health is vital to your success. Who can be successful if they are in poor shape and feel bad all the time? This is a mental and physical issue. I have found that when you are exercising regularly and eating right, you actually feel better which improves your mood! It’s a win/win!
Clear your mind of negativity and your life of negative things. If a hobby makes you more stressed than happy, send it on it’s way. Life is short, so who has time for things and thoughts that are negative? So you’re not a great cook? (oh, hey, that’s me!) Who cares? You might be a great encourager and friend or a wonderful painter or decorator! Go do what makes you happy.
Clean out your space. It is so freeing when you clean out and clean up a space, is it not? It’s time to de-clutter and de-junk. We have way too much “stuff” anyway. Do we really need 20 purses? Five of which are black? No.
Create a plan to help you achieve your goals. Remember that list you made? Create and organize a plan to help you achieve your goals this year!
Set a budget that will allow you to save more money each month. I’m sure that “saving money” is on everyone’s list of resolutions. But it might as well be on your’s, too. Set your budget a little tighter so that you can save more money this year. Even if it is only $10 a month, it will add up to $120 by the end of the year.I hope you all have a safe and fun New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day! We will probably just be resting at home with the kiddos this year.

If you would not mind taking just 1 to 2 minutes to fill out this short reader’s survey, I would be really appreciative. I would love to hear what you would like to see more of on Logan Can in 2016!

What are your plans? Are you going out on the town, on a hot date or staying home with your kids?

It’s no secret that Nordstrom is my favorite place to shop online. They aren’t exactly affordable, but I love to shop their sales because you can find some great deals on name brand clothes and accessories you couldn’t normally buy. They are having their Half -Yearly sale right now through January 3rd! I got a couple of great deals and here are some of my favorites:

Literary-Junkies-Book-Club
I have loved being a part of the Literary Junkies Book Club since it’s beginning a couple of years ago. It is so much fun to get together with other women to discuss a favorite hobby! We have read some amazing books I never would have read otherwise thanks to them! I am excited to link up with them today for our monthly book chat!

1. What are you reading right now? Tell us about it.

– I am reading Christmas at Rosie Hopkins’ Sweetshop. It is the one I started the day before Christmas and I haven’t quite finished it. I’m hoping to complete it in another day or two. It is a cute story, but definitely not as good of a sequel as I would have hoped for.
2. What were your favorite reads of 2015?

– I loved The Lake House by Kate Morton. It was by far my favorite! I also enjoyed Ladies’ Night by Mary Kay Andrews.

3. What was your book-read total for 2015? Did you make your goal for the year?

I’m embarrassed to say – 11 books. My goal was only 20. I normally read a lot more than that, but it was not in the cards for me this year.

4. How many books would you like to read in 2016?

– I guess I will give 20 a go again! I would really like to read more than that because there are so many I need to catch up on and several new books coming out this year that I would like to read.

5. What is the number one book sitting on your Must Read list right now?

I’m not really sure about this one. I have a couple sitting on my shelf, but I am most excited to read the new Emily Giffin book releasing in June! Any suggestions for me?

This year, Christmas was very different for us, but it was very special. SR’s first Christmas was perfect. We were surrounded by loved ones and had so many exciting things happen. Maybe it was the magic of Christmas?

My precious little niece took her first steps to SR on Christmas Eve and almost brought me to tears. It was so sweet. On Christmas day, SR pulled up for the first time on my dad and then did it two more times that afternoon…we can’t get her to stop, now. Now for the real magic? SR also slept through the night for the first time since she was 2 months old. It was amazing. Ryan and I have forgotten what it was like to get a full night of sleep. It was amazing. We were very blessed this year with lots of family and delicious food and I couldn’t ask for more!
We woke up Christmas morning at my parent’s house and opened presents from Santa then ate a big breakfast and opened presents from my parents. After that we watched Christmas movies all day and played dominoes. I colored in my new coloring book (adult one, of course) and it was perfect.
How was your Christmas? Did you do anything special this year?

Merry Christmas Eve! I just wanted to pop in for a minute and wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for reading Logan Can this year! Because of you, I have been able to turn my favorite hobby into an (almost) full time income while staying home with my kids and that has been huge for my family. It is the biggest blessing and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us and this blog in 2016! With that being said, we are only 1 week away from New Years Eve! I have picked out a few of my NYE outfit favorites and linked them below:
