My little guy is FIVE months old. Someone pinch me. The first baby went by fast, the second was faster, the third? It’s been a total blur. I know I always say it, but I feel like we just arrived home from the hospital. I feel like we just moved into our new house. And just like that, he is five months old. Weston is the sweetest baby. He is always smiling (unless he’s hungry) and he is much more laid back than my other two babies. I hope and pray he stays that way because I need a laid back babe amongst the high-strung ones. They get it honestly, bless their hearts.
I can’t believe we are nearly a week into 2016 and I am just now writing my first post of the new year. Can you guess why? The new year is bringing many new changes to me and my blog and I m so excited about them. I finally made the switch from Blogger to self-hosted WordPress which I LOVE. This change has been a well thought out decision I’ve been going back and forth on for over a year now, so it was a long time coming. I figured since I am getting more serious about my blog and have turned it into my full-time job, I need to make it look more professional. So, what do you guys think?
2015 was a huge year for our little family. So many wonderful things happened and we were more blessed than I could have ever imagined. Here is a look back on last year:
I love this time of year. The holidays are so much fun! Normally, my husband takes time off of work (which never happens) and we are able to enjoy lots family time. After the holidays, I love that we celebrate a new year and make resolutions to better ourselves and achieve new goals. A fresh start in a new year sounds pretty good to me! Here are a few ways to prepare for a successful new year:
Make a list of all your goals. You had to know that making a list would be on my list, right? I love my lists. I seriously make them for everything! They are very helpful in making you prioritize what’s important and stay focused on what needs to get done. I am always so much more productive when I have made a list of what needs to be done versus when I don’t.
If you would not mind taking just 1 to 2 minutes to fill out this short reader’s survey, I would be really appreciative. I would love to hear what you would like to see more of on Logan Can in 2016!
What are your plans? Are you going out on the town, on a hot date or staying home with your kids?
It’s no secret that Nordstrom is my favorite place to shop online. They aren’t exactly affordable, but I love to shop their sales because you can find some great deals on name brand clothes and accessories you couldn’t normally buy. They are having their Half -Yearly sale right now through January 3rd! I got a couple of great deals and here are some of my favorites:
Do you like to shop the after season sales?
3. What was your book-read total for 2015? Did you make your goal for the year?
4. How many books would you like to read in 2016?
5. What is the number one book sitting on your Must Read list right now?
Merry Christmas Eve! I just wanted to pop in for a minute and wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for reading Logan Can this year! Because of you, I have been able to turn my favorite hobby into an (almost) full time income while staying home with my kids and that has been huge for my family. It is the biggest blessing and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us and this blog in 2016! With that being said, we are only 1 week away from New Years Eve! I have picked out a few of my NYE outfit favorites and linked them below:
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas spent with family and loved ones. I will see you back here next week!
I can’t believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! The holiday season is upon us and we have a fun day planned starting off with Christmas with my in-laws and then going to see Christmas lights with my little sister! After that, we will be getting the kids in bed so that Santa can come visit them and put certain things together under the tree! 😉
It has felt very wintery the last few days…until today. It has been warm and rainy. I am super bummed because it is supposed to be around 80 degrees on Christmas Day. I guess that means no fire in the fireplace for us this year, but that happens more often than you know here in Alabama. I am so looking forward to the festivities over the next few days! I can’t wait to see the look on my children’s faces when they see what Santa brought them, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in the new year! We are so blessed and continue to find joy and peace in Christ every day. What more can you ask for than that?
This week, my best friend had her baby girl and my cousin found out the gender of her twins! They are boy/girl wins! I can’t wait to meet these precious babies! I am so thankful for these huge gifts this holiday season.
What are you thankful for this holiday season? Do you have big plans tomorrow?
If you’re anything like me this year, you may be doing a lot of last minute shopping. Thank goodness I am pretty much finished (finally), but I wanted to put a few things together for those of you who still have a few more things to get. I know I wouldn’t mind receiving any of these! A lot of them would make great stocking stuffers, too!
Have you finished your shopping?
