I love Valentine’s Day. I remember growing up that we always received candy and a small gift from my parents on Valentine’s Day morning and my siblings and I always enjoyed picking out our Valentine’s Day cards to pass out to our classmates and friends. We would decorate little brown bags and each child would receive a Valentine from all of their classmates. It was something I always looked forward to. Do kids still do that at school? I sure hope so!

This year, we are keeping Valentine’s Day super casual. We have talked about either going out to eat for lunch after church on Sunday or maybe even just order in and enjoy a movie after we get the kids to bed. Who knows? Maybe both? We are keeping things very low key which is honestly how I like it! I’ve never been one to get all into extravagant things. I am much more comfortable going to dinner or a movie or parking it on the couch for the evening and catching up on our latest Netflix binge or favorite movies.
I found this necklace a while back on Jane.com. My cousin told me about their app and warned me to not download it or else I’d be hooked, but I didn’t listen. I am now hooked, so, joke is on me I guess. I love Jane and Eleventh Avenue. I have found so many household items, party favors, clothes and jewelry for practically nothing. I am a sucker for a good deal. This has not helped my shopping addiction at all, so I try to just not look for the most part. Staying away is the best way for me to resist.
Do you have big plans for Valentine’s Day?
