Genius Spring Cleaning Hacks

Spring cleaning has been in full force in our house over the last week! I have mostly been going through clothes and toys (making an even bigger mess), but one thing I have to do almost daily is clean our floors. Don’t get me wrong, it clearly does not happen every day, but because we live in a new-build neighborhood with lots of construction around us, I feel like dirt just flies in and lives on our floors at all times and that makes me want to clean them, often. I recently took a trip to Target (who am I kidding, that’s a daily thing) and picked up a new mop and guys! I am in  love with this Freedom® Spray Mop by Libman – one of my latest spring cleaning hacks!

I saw all of the Libman mops together, but when I saw this one, I knew I needed it. It is so easy to use and I don’t have to deal with filling the sink with water and all that nonsense. I just stay it as I go and mop away! Such a game changer with kids. It’s quick and easy and even my kids enjoy getting in on the fun. That’s a big bonus because I love that they are learning to help out around the house and it’ also keeps them busy. You know how toddlers can be – idle hands (a.k.a. writing on the walls with crayons) are no good in our house. The Freedom® Spray Mop has a neck that swivels 360 degrees to get in tough areas and tight corners! It comes with a thick microfiber pad that is machine washable up to 100 times. It is great for wood floors, laminate, tile, stone, marble, linoleum and more – making it the perfect and easiest mop for just about any floor!

My kids get a kick out of the spray and I honestly love the convenience of not having to run to the sink to rinse and ring out every couple of minutes. It’s been a game-changer for us over the last week. Definitely one of my go-tos and must haves in my cleaning closet!

Now for a few hacks! I asked my followers on Instagram what their favorite spring cleaning hacks are and here is what you all said:

Carrie-Grace: Wrap dust cloths around tongs to clean the blinds. How genius is that?

Lauren: Mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of vinegar, pour it down the drains and let it sit for a half hour then wash it down with warm water. Works really well and it’s a safer option!
