I’m not sure if it was my recent fall wardrobe purchases or the fact that school is starting and everyone is already talking football down here in the south, but I have been in the mood for some delicious fall recipes. It has still been too hot to make chill or soup, so I decided to bake a sweet treat – Pecan Pie Brownies – over the weekend. If you’ve been reading my blog for a little while, you know that I have a huge sweet tooth and I love to bake much more than I like to cook. Normally baking wins out over cooking an extravagant meal around our household.
When I think of fall, I think of comfort foods – Pies, stews, etc. I also love to bake brownies because they are my family’s favorite sweet treat. I decided to mix the two to add my own spin on a classic brownie. Bringing a little fall flavor to a classic brownie was one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. Spoiler alert: they were a huge hit!
