This week has been a bit of a roller coaster. We went to the doctor last Friday to find out the gender of our baby – or rather, have it confirmed. Confession: Ryan and I found out while we were in Florida, but because I was only 16 weeks, I wanted to have it confirmed before announcing it. While at the doctor, I also found out I have complete Placenta Previa with this pregnancy. Sigh. This means that if it does not resolve itself by the end of my pregnancy, I will have to have a c-section. I will also more than likely have to be on bed rest for a little while at some point and am at a high risk for pre-term labor. Not something you ever want to hear.
On Monday, I started cramping really bad and spotting. It scared me and my doctor told me to rest and come in first thing yesterday morning. I went in and luckily everything is okay. I just have to take it easy and have been put on partial bed rest until my next appointment in July, meaning no exercise or heavy lifting and I have to rest as much as possible. With two young children, this is obviously going to be very difficult, but I am so thankful that I wasn’t put on full bed rest. I would go insane this early in the pregnancy.

So, enough of the blah news. It’s gender reveal time! I am so excited to share with you that we are having another little BOY! I shouldn’t have been surprised because of how sick I have been. Apparently, boys don’t set right with me for some reason. Other than our little scare, I have been feeling much better this week as far as nausea. I am thankful for that. Also, Ryan is in town this week and has been a huge help to me the last couple of days. He is awesome and I don’t know what I would do without him!

Please say a prayer for our little boy and me throughout these next few months. I have had a little bit of anxiety this week because I tend to think about things too much and this scare really bothered me. I am also trying to figure out what is too much activity and how to care for two little ones who are still very dependent on me while on partial rest and knowing I will more than likely have to prepare for bed rest at the end of my pregnancy – on top of moving. Did I mention we are building a house? We finally decided that would be the best option for us and will begin the end of this month. We are supposed to move in on November 1st (ish), so this is going to be very interesting! We are really excited about all of these changes coming up in a few months and are so thankful things seem to finally be working out on the house front.

So, did you guess correctly?
