Mother’s Day Dresses Under $100

April 19, 2017

And just like that we are less than a month away from Mother’s Day! Mother’s Day weekend has always been a big weekend for my family. My younger brother was born on Mother’s Day and we always enjoy celebrating him along with my sweet mom! For the last 6+ years, I have also had the pleasure of celebrating my MIL. Both of these women are so special to me and it has always been so wonderful having a day where we love on them extra hard and let them know how much they are appreciated, loved and cared for. 3 and a half years ago, something changed. I became a mother. The most precious name I’ve ever been called. The most meaningful name, role, job, title. Since that day, I have felt just as special on Mother’s Day. My family and wonderful husband has made sure of that.

Mother's Day Dresses Under $100

In true fashion (see what I did there?) I wanted to round up some of my favorite dresses for Mother’s Day that are under $100! Every mom deserves something special to wear on that day, so if you are one of those women (I’m looking at you mom) who never buys herself anything, this is the time and occasion to do it! You deserve it!

Fall Essentials That Need To Be In Your Closet

September 15, 2016

Pumpkins, Hay belles, Football, Cool Weather, Scarves, Boots, Pies, Sunflowers, I think it is safe to say I am ready for fall to be here. You guys know how fall-obsessed I am because there is so much excitement for my family during this season (anniversary, birthdays, Halloween, etc.), and this year we are adding another birthday! We are super excited to meet our little guy, and I am very ready for that fall weather to cool this mother off a bit! It has been entirely too hot. September normally is here, so I am holding out for mid-October for those cooler temps (meaning 80’s). For now, I’ll ponder finally getting to wear all of my favorite fall clothes and share with you my fall essentials that are all $50 and under!

September 3, 2016

This is one of my favorite weekends of the year, not only does Ryan have the day off making it a long weekend for us, there are always great Labor Day Sales! I love to shop sales because I hate paying full price for anything. I love to find a good deal. That’s half the fun of shopping, isn’t it? I rarely pay full price for anything, so I like to rack up on sale weekends. This year I’m focusing on Christmas gifts, but I thought I would share some of my favorite picks from a few of the sales I have listed below. I hope you guys have a great holiday weekend and enjoy a little shopping!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access Picks #NSALE

July 14, 2016

It’s here! The most anticipated sale of the year – Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, that is. This is bigger than Christmas, folks! At least, it is for me! If you aren’t familiar with the sale, Nordstrom puts their brand new fall items on super-sale for two weeks (three if you are a cardholder). It is a great time to rack up on name brand items and fall staples! Ryan gave me my (early) birthday gift in the form of money for my birthday this year, just so I could spend a little extra at the sale. Did anyone else stay up way too late to shop? I had a little too much fun! So, without further ado, here are some of my absolute favorite sales. (Can I have one of each, please?)

While I’m going to wait and share my purchases once they come in, I will spoil one surprise and say that I FINALLY snagged these boots in oatmeal. This color was exclusive only at Nordstrom last year, and every time it came back in my size, they would sell out faster than I could buy them. It was depressing. When I saw them in the catalog, I knew that would be my priority purchase this year, and I got them!!

Today is the first day of the early access sale (for lucky cardholders) and the sale opens to the public on July 22nd! So, if you are not a cardholder, you can start making your lists to help you shop the best deals before they sell out.

Amazon Prime Day Picks

July 12, 2016

It’s Amazon Prime Day! I did not shop the sale last year, and am currently saving my money for Nordstrom’s big Anniversary sale (starting Thursday for cardholders), so I’m not sure how much shopping I’ll do today, but here are a few of my favorite picks and sales! I will update throughout the day if I find more great deals.

Spring Must Haves with thredUP

April 15, 2016

If you guys follow me on Snapchat, you probably saw the snap of my thredUP box that came in the mail a couple of days ago! I have been shopping at thredUP now for a couple of years and they never disappoint. This wee was no exception! I scored a Lilly Pulitzer skort for under $22! I also snagged a Coach wristlet for $30! I absolutely love the amazing deals that they offer on my favorite brands that I can rarely afford to purchase at full price. My mission was simple: to find staple pieces to add to my spring wardrobe to complete my look for the season. I definitely feel like I did just that!

thred UP

August 5, 2014

I was given these products free as compensation for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.

I read about the online consignment store – Thred Up – on another blog. I was so excited to check them out, and when I did I was pleasantly surprised. They have a HUGE selection. When I say huge, I mean HUGE. They sell name brand, gently used clothing for unbelievable prices. Jeans, dresses, purses, shoes, you name it, they sell it. I was really excited to see that they sell baby clothes and children’s clothes. As little time as Hampton spends in his clothes, I do not like to spend a lot of money on them, but I definitely still want him to look adorable. Thred Up is an awesome solution. I picked him out a polo outfit that was a fraction of the original cost, for him to wear this fall.

I also requested a “Clean Out Bag” that Thred Up sends free of charge so that when I decide to clean out my closet, I can send them my gently worn clothes and they will send me 80% of the resale value! How awesome is that? Read more about it here.

I got all of this for under $100! Can you believe it? I racked up on staple pieces which is always nice. Here is what I received:
Old Navy jean shorts
Levi jean shorts
Gap jeans
Banana Republic Cardigan
Ann Taylor Loft Shirt
Gap Shirt
J. Crew jeans
Polo Khakis for Hamp
Polo Button Down for Hamp
Nuts, right? I am obsessed with all of it and they fit me perfectly. It was so exciting. I will definitely be shopping with Thred Up again in the future and I recommend it to all of my friends.

Summer Trends // On A Budget

July 28, 2014

I discovered a great online retailer – Sheinside – not too long ago and I instantly fell in love. They have such a large variety of clothing and accessories, it’s scary for someone like me. Right now, they are having a huge sale on many of their summer items. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite summer trends via Sheinside for those of you (like me) who are on a budget. These are great quality clothes for unbelievable prices.

All pieces pictured above are $9.90. No, I’m not kidding! Get to shopping! I’ll take one of each, please! After all, that would be under $70 before taxes and shipping. Deal.

All pieces above are under $20! Again, I’m not kidding. The best part? This isn’t even all of it! There are so many pieces on their site, it is nuts! These are just some of the many items I’ve been drooling over that are now on sale! If you are on a tight budget or don’t like spending a ton of money on clothes, you should definitely check out Sheinside. They have a wide variety of clothing options for everyone at affordable prices.
Are you on a budget? What is your favorite sale item from Sheinside?
