I absolutely love entertaining whenever I can. Now that we are (almost) moved in our new house, I am getting so excited to start having friends and family over again. That is one thing I have missed terribly over this last year. With the holidays right around the corner, I have been in the baking mood! Last Saturday while we were moving, I decided to bake some delicious and festive sugar cookie Christmas donuts! This was my first time trying my hand at donuts, but they actually turned out perfectly! I even brought extras to my parent’s house for them to enjoy and they loved them! Of course, Hampton had to help me put sprinkles on them and he was determined to use blue sprinkles on his, so I let him devour that one fresh out of the oven – needless to say, he was a big fan. I love letting my kids help my in the kitchen – especially as they get older. It is so much fun watching them learn and explore.
Some of my fondest memories are helping my mom or grandmother bake and cook during the holidays. Even setting the table and cleaning up afterwards always made for many memories and lots of laughs. My grandmother used to dance around the kitchen with us and claimed that thanks to her talent, all of her granddaughters were dancers. We used to laugh and try to get her to do all sorts of ballet moves and positions, and it was just hilarious. This time of year makes me so nostalgic and I want to create these special moments and memories for my children as well.
Sugar Cookie Christmas Donut Recipe:
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of International Delight® Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 box of White Cake Mix
- 1/4 cup of Vegetable Oil
- For the Glaze Frosting:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp of softened butter
- 5 tbsp International Delight® Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl and pour the mix into a pouch. pipe the mix into your donut pan about halfway full. Put the donuts in the oven for 14 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.
- While donuts are baking, mix together the ingredients for the glaze. Let the donuts cool for about 15 minutes and then dip them in the glaze and decorate to your liking! I used red, green and clear "sparkle" sprinkles to give them a glittery effect! Enjoy!
I always keep International Delight holiday creamers in our fridge this time of year! International Delight® Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer is my absolute favorite in my morning coffee. It’s like Christmas in a cup and really sets the mood. I always start my day with a fresh cup of coffee and love to enjoy every sip before I start my day. Incorporating International Delight® Sugar Cookie Coffee Creamer in this donut recipe made them taste so delicious and festive for the season. I love putting a holiday spin on a traditional recipe. These creamers are easy to pick up on your next Walmart run. If you’re like me, you frequent the store often!

I was so excited to find this recipe!! I want to make them for Christmas morning, however ive been to 5 grocery stores repeatedly since November 1 looking for the Sugar Cookie creamer and cant find it in any of the stores around where I live! Last year I stocked up so i had my favorite for as long as possible!
I bet these would be really good with some of the other flavors of creamers as well
I’ve attempted this recipe multiple times and for some reason i cannot get it right! My donuts keep sticking the the pan no matter how much I spray the pans, flour the pans, etc… Any advice?
